The company is being formed with the intention and ability to build my ideas and products here in Maine, not elsewhere for cheaper. I believe my idea will bring a bit of happiness, joy, and a smile. With a quick redesign of something I first created and shared with family and friends, it became a delightful and enjoyable experience bringing us together and creating lasting memories.
My goal is to build, package, sell, and ship these products to private individuals as well as private and commercial entities. I want to deliver quality products that can bring a smile, offer relaxation, and maybe even provide a therapeutic space for healing and growth. If I can achieve even one of those possibilities while creating a job and a smile, then I’ve succeeded.
The brand, Rocking Creations: The Journey, is newly established and born from an idea I had some time ago. This current spin-off was created right on my kitchen table in my apartment. I said to myself, Yes, it has to work, and on March 29th I decided to begin. I purchased some tools and materials, cleared off the kitchen table, and got started. Amazingly, the frame came together quickly, guided only by a few sketches and the picture in my mind.
Of course, there were challenges. It took a few attempts to get the details right. I built, pondered, ordered parts, waited, and rebuilt until the rocking mechanisms worked together. Eventually, it all came together. After some searching, I decided to work with an advertised invention-help company. I paid for a patent search, and on a hot June 29th, just after parking at the local Dairy Queen, I got the call—it was official. Nothing like my idea was on file. The representative congratulated me, calling me Mr. Inventor. It was an incredibly exciting moment.
On July 9th, I applied for my first provisional patent. While thinking of possible ways to market my idea, another thought struck me—something completely different, yet closely related. Suddenly, I had two marketable ideas. On September 2nd, I secured Rocking-Creation.com through GoDaddy, along with SillyGrampy.com as a secondary website to showcase and sell items made from leftover materials and other creations.
That same day, I also spoke with and hired Filiz Turan to design and build my website, ensuring it would be live, functional, and adaptable for future changes, events, and growth.
